Thanks to Spencer Wightman for inviting me onto the Architect’s Apprentice podcast to talk about Tower Lord and various writing gubbins. You can listen here:
Thanks to Grim Oak Press for inviting me to contribute a story to their forthcoming anthology Neverland Shadows, a collection of fantasy stories told from the perspective of the villain. Here’s the full list of contributing authors, some pretty impressive names I think you’d agree:
‘Песнь крови’. Apparently this has been out since February. Like the Turkish publisher they insisted on working from my author photo for the cover, over my objections naturally.
Taking stock after a hectic, but very exciting couple of days, I have become increasingly aware that I’m checking my Amazon sales ranking is far too often whilst filling up my pictures folder with screen grabs. As this is probably not conducive to a stable mental state, and I real work to do, I’ve decided to stop doing it. Therefore I, Anthony Ryan, hereby swear to the Dark Gods I shall no longer check my sales ranking on an hourly basis nor take any more screen grabs… apart from this one which shows Tower Lord at number one on the Amazon UK fantasy chart as of this morning (last one, I promise):
Tower Lord is released in the UK today in hardback, ebook and audio formats. Where-to-buy links have been added to the books page. This edition should also now be available in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Many thanks to everyone at Orbit UK for their hard work on making this happen, especially my editor James Long.
Thanks to Rob at Anderida Books for letting me know he is now taking pre-orders for signed first editions of the UK Tower Lord hardcover. You can email him at enquiries@anderidabooks.co.uk.
Also, due to popular demand (i.e. the two tweets I received) I’ve updated the Map Room with the maps from Tower Lord for anyone who has trouble reading them in the ebook.
And finally, if anyone missed it, this happened yesterday (which was pleasant).
Well here it is, Tower Lord is released in the US today in ebook, hardcover and audio formats – see the Books page for where-to-buy links. Thanks to Susan Allison, my editor at Ace, and everyone else who helped make this happen. I know many of you have been waiting a long time for this and it’s a great feeling to finally have it out there. I can’t really express how grateful I am to all the loyal readers who have made it possible for me to continue Vaelin’s story. I can only hope you enjoy Tower Lord as much as you enjoyed Blood Song, and if you’re new to my work rest assured everyone is welcome at the party.
