This year I donated signed, lined and dated Advance Review Copies of all three books in the Raven’s Shadow series to Worldbuilders, the charity established by fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss to support the excellent work of Heifer International. Anyone who’d like to own these should head on over to Worldbuilders and donate $10 or more for a chance to win. There’s also a load of other really great stuff for fantasy fans, including signed books from Django Wexler, Brent Weeks and Brandon Sanderson, among many others.
Huge thanks to my German readers for voting the German language edition of Tower Lord – Der Herr des Turms – onto the shortlist for the Leserpreis Award in the Fantasy and Science Fiction category. The “Leserpreis” is the biggest readers’ choice book award in the German-speaking region and I’m very honoured to find myself nominated. You can vote on the shortlist here. Voting closes on 24th November.
The German edition of Tower Lord – Der Herr des Turmes – is now available. Many thanks to my German translators, Hannes and Sara Riffel and Birgit Pfaffinger, and everyone at Hobbit Presse for making this happen. The reaction to all the various translated editions of the Raven’s Shadow series has been one of the most gratifying aspects of this whole journey, and I greatly appreciated the feedback from German readers of Blood Song – Das Lied des Blutes. Reminder – the signed hardcover Goodreads giveaway for Das Lied des Blutes is still live.
To celebrate the upcoming release of the German language edition of Tower Lord – Der Herr des Turmes – on 25th September by Hobbit Presse, I’m running a giveaway on Goodreads for three signed hardcovers of the German edition of Blood Song – Des Lied Des Blutes. The giveaway will run until September 29, enter here: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/show/155016-das-lied-des-blutes.
Queen of Fire is released today in the UK in hardback, ebook and audio formats. Where-to-buy links have been added to the books page. This edition should also now be available in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Many thanks to everyone at Orbit UK for their hard work on this book, especially my editor James Long who first took a chance on this series back in 2012. And heartfelt thanks to all my readers for allowing me to finish this story – I really couldn’t have done it without you. It’s been a long and winding road, but all roads must end.
